Yesterday, May 25th 2008 was Mama's birthday. Happy Birthday Mama!
I'm not telling you her age! SHHHHH! I've heard people say you should never trust a woman who tells her own age, because if she can tell you that, she can tell you anything. I think this is all BS!!
Anyway, she got this Xbox American Idol karaoke revolution game for her B-day from my Dad and also the "Rock Band" game, and all they did today was sing. E is visiting from St. Louis and the 3 of them just got off the mic to eat, drink or go to the bathroom. I couldn't sing along because the lyrics on the screen were not in WOOF so I thought just humming the songs would be kinda stupid. I had no choice other than listen to them sing, sing and sing! Sometimes they would sing completely out of tune and I'd tilt my head to either side and tell them my ears hurt!!! I don't know why but whenever I hear a siren, an alarm sound or any annoying sound like these 3 singing karaoke, my head tilts, left, right,left,right... They didn't care, they were just having a lot of fun.
Dad did pretty well in some songs, even Simon Cowell had something positive to say about his performance. Same with E, he was actually very good in most songs. Mama also did well in some songs but did excellent in the one song(that Titanic theme song, argh!!)that put her in the finals. Now guess who the new American Idol is:
A) Daddy
B) Mama
C) E
The new American Idol is.........................................letter B, MAMA !!!!!
Well, she should actually be called the new " Brazilian Idol" .... in America!
She deserved it; it was her Birthday but in my opinion, she was just the best of the worst( sorry Mom, I just watch Simon Cowell and Chef Ramsay too much).
Hopefully I won't be deaf tomorrow. Feel really sorry for the neighbors...

I'm very happy to be your blog friend!!! I love to write in English... I must confess to you that I'm not that good at writing in Portuguese, my mother tongue... I don't know... maybe because my English was learned when I was a little girl. So English easier for me.
I'm also sooooooooo happy because yesterday was your mommy's birthday and you, your daddy and a friend were together celebranting, having fun, all this stuff, and she got a wonderful game as a present... I'm also a fan of American Idol!!! But I got disappointed about the grand finale result: I wanted David Archuleta to win this season.... What comforts me is the fact that he will become a very famous singer just like Chris Daughtry who I'm a very huge fan.

Thank God my ears don't hurt anymore! You know E, you met him at Mommy's wedding and the lunch you all had at the Churrascaria the day before. He's the taller of my Dad's cousin, who paired up with Aunt V at the ceremony remember?
About the winner I think D. Cook deserved it. He has more of the "idol" thing even though he might not sing as sweetly as the other David. I like Daughtry as well. See? You can always win when you decide to, regardless of what people say...Where's Taylor Hicks today? I haven't seen or heard of him since he "won"....
