My birthday celebration

It was a great day, and it would have been even better if Daddy was here with me too. He was out of town on Wednesday but he came home Friday, YAY!
So, on my special day I had "porridge" for breakfast. I used to have porridge once a month, on the day of my heartworm preventative medicine. That's because this medicine was a little pill with some yummy bacon or beef coating and had to be taken on a full stomach. What happened was, first of all, my parents didn't know whether my stomach was full or not because my dry food is available to me all day long and I eat whenever I want to. Second, I licked all the coating and when the awful tasting pill was exposed, I didn't wanna chew or swallow that. Mama and Dad both struggled to get that thing down my throat so, Mama came up with a wonderful solution which made everybody's life easier and everyone happier : "the Porridge"!
My "Porridge" is just the dry kibbles mixed with a little water and put in the microwave for some softening and heating. I love warm, comfort food:)
So, Mama would give me about half of the amount of porridge to make sure my belly was full. I'd eat this even if I was not hungry, so delish! Then she'd put the pill in the other half and I obviously devoured everything and didn't even realized the pill was there! Now that I take another kind of medicine that's applied to my skin, I don't need porridge anymore and Mama only gives it to me now on special days like my birthday. So, having porridge on my "besday" was a big thing! It was grrrreat!!

I also had to wear a party hat for my photo shooting and sit still in the sofa in front of my apple cinnamon cake, so the pictures would come out ok. Mommy made this cake and put a candle on it so I could blow it out as I made my wishes. As you know, I can't have this kind of treat but, I had my Busy Bone which I love and really keeps me entertained for a looong time.
I did NOT have my teeth brushed,YAY! I did have some moustache, face and ear grooming for the photos though... but, I liked my B-day pics :)
And...I had my 3 walks a day as usual and I loved it.

Thank you "everybuddy" for stopping by with your kind and warm wishes and also for helping me and Mama finish up the cake! Woof! Woof!

Your mama is so smart to get you to take the pill using the porridge.. With Mufasa, I have to coat it with cheese, his favourite snack..

I hope you get all your wishes granted especially the milk bone spokesperson gig... let me know when that comes about ok.. I'll be sure to vote and vote and vote for you!!

Have a great week ahead dearie!!

Very nice present, Sushi!!!
It's wonderful to get what we most like as a b-day present!!!
I got your advice and didn't buy anything for you Uncle as a b-day present... He really doesn't care about presents!! But on Sunday your grandma C prepared a delicious cheese cake and another delicious chocolate pie... hummmmm and some sweeties... well... everything for a party. But only we the family was there (me, uncle K, H, F, M and Grandma C). But anyway we had fun!
See ya.

I saved a decent piece of this cake for you Aunty C! It's originally banana cake but Mommy used apples instead because there were no "naners" in da house :)

Yep Daisy, no matter how full I am, there's always room for porridge!

I'll def let you know LJ. I'll let the world know if I'm in the top 100!
Good solution for Mufasa too :) My pill has to be mixed with a bigger amount of porridge otherwise, I taste the bitterness, yuck!
