The house is for sale

Mama's interpretation of the house is for sale was: Oh no, I have to keep it spic- and-span every single day!
Mine was : Oh no, back in the crate again !!
When we had the "For Sale" sign in front of our house, that meant people would be visiting it a lot and Mama had to work hard to keep everything in order and looking really good. She even bought flowers every week for the vase on the kitchen table and put fresh fruit in the basket. Mom and Dad had to remove all the clutter and personal items like pictures, from the home decor, to make it look attractive for prospective buyers, following the realtor's advice. One of these personal items, believe it or not, was me! So, they recommended that I stayed in my crate whenever the realtor brought a potential buyer to see the house.
In the first month of open houses and house showings(March) Grandma C was still around, so it was not as bad for me because the realtor would call her to let her know she was bringing someone over to look at the house, so I had an extra walk around the park. However, after she returned to Brazil, I had to stay in the crate ALL DAY LONG until my Mom came back home from work. That was about 10.5 hours in prison!
The house did not sell very fast, so I had to do some time in jail... Mama was already getting neurotic maintaining the cleanliness, refilling the air fresheners plug-ins in all rooms, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming etc. We both couldn't wait to move out and the nightmare to end!

oOhhh poor Sushi.. I know I won't like it being imprisoned like that but please be patient ok.. sometimes humans like your mommy and myself have to do certain things to get certain things done..

I'm sure the house would be sold soon and you'll won't need to see the inside of the crate for a long time :)..

Have a great weekend Sushi!!

I remember when we sold our last house, it was terrible! My Mommie hated having to keep everything so spotless. They were also afraid someone would leave the door open and I would escape, so they made little signs for the front door that said "Please do not let cats out!"

Her my dear Sushi,
I understand how it is to be moving from one place/state/city to the other. It used to happen to me a lot duringmy childhood and my teenhood too. It was the most difficult time for me because when I was starting to get used to the place I was living in, my father had to be transferred and so did the whole family, all our stuff... And all my friends used to be far away from me. Thank God I could be settled down here in Salvador. Although it's not the place of my dreams but I'm getting along well with this city!!!
Well, see ya.

I'm waiting to see some pictures of this kitty condo!
PS:I told Mama to add you as a friend in FB. I just don't have time to manage so many blogging sites accounts so I don't have one in FB. Thanks, the weekend's been great. Tomorrow Mama's having a BBQ and there will be 3 babies here, all less than a year old to play with me YAY!

Thanks Lady Java! I appreciate your putting yourself in my shoes. Say hello to the 6 fluffy friends for me, and a special hug to Aggie.

Oh Daisy, isn't this horrible on our Mama's. This kind of cleaning is designed to drive one nuts! I thought kitties had no desire to leave their houses. "Who let the cats out? Meow, meow! Meow, meow, meow!"

Hi Aunty! So you know what I go through. I've been moving since I was born! Glad you got settled down in one place. Salvador should be nice. Mama misses the hot weather and the family. Woofies.
