It's Valentine's Day again!

Yes it is!!!(if you're landing here for the first time, I'm just writing the continuation of my 3rd season) I'm still single but, isn't this a day to celebrate love in general? Well, I know in the USA it is and in the UK too. Of course it is a much more special day to couples but I'm not that bothered by the fact I am single on this day. In Brazil, where Mom is from, Valentine's Day is celebrated on June 12th, one day before (Dia de Santo Antonio)St Anthony's Day, the "Cupid Saint", who is invoked by all single ladies to help them find a husband. I think he is also believed to bless all marriages and help people find things they lost. Some ladies feel kinda sad if they're single on Valentine's Day because the main focus is on the couples and if you're single you get kinda jealous of them. Mama was one of them, she told me. Now she has 2 Valentine's Days to receive flowers, cards, gifts and chocolate: February 14th and June 12th !!!
This Valentine's Day, I had my parents and my Grandma C around to celebrate LOVE! Crafty Grandma C is a cake decorator and made a beeeaaaauutiful, romantic, heart shaped, red velvet cake for my Mom & Dad. She perfectly sculpted them both in either fondant or gum paste and put on top of it. Check this out! All you need is LOVE, LOVE, LOVE is all you need!

A slide show with pictures of the Valentine's Cake from different angles (I think Mom & Dad look so cute!)

All you need is LOVE! Beatles LOVE! I loooove The Beatles...

Yeah Sushi... it's Valentine's Day in Brazil. But our celebration is kinda different because we are used to exchanging gifts and the cards and flowers come all along. The malls and stores are all full of people trying to get a simple, or most of the time an expensinve, gift for their significant others. But I believe that Valentine's Day is everyday, just like the other days celebration (mother's, father's, children's day, etc).
I do believe in Saint Anthony... I got married and was baptized in this church (in different states of Brazil: Rio de Janeiro and Bahia).
Well, enough of this long story... I wish you and your Dad and Mom a wonderful Valentine's Day evening. And I hope you'll find a beautiful girl to be your date and, who knows, your future wife.
Ah! Your friend Zubli seems to be someone who studies linguistics, because he's always creating new words. Congrats to him.
See ya.

That definetely makes my piggy bank much fatter, if you know what I mean ;) and soon I can be in the spotlight at Mariuca's or MPG!

Hello Farah, I hope you enjoyed your trip. Wow, my very first award then! It's really cool the way it works, thanks for explaining that to me! I'm glad you liked the cake. Also thank you for the tag, but I don't have any beauty secret about my furry face and body. I just take a bath with shampoo, conditioner and get a blow dry. What I'll do is: I'll tag MAMA! She'll be happy to do this. She hasn't properly started her own blog but once she has a few posts there you are welcome to check out this tag!
