I didn't really care for the balcony...until...
After we found a home featuring most of our must-haves, including my so wished for balcony, Mama comes to me and asks: " What's going on Sushi? Why aren't you using the balcony you wanted so, so bad ?"
I replied: "Mama, first, there's no backyard and second, for me to have a nice view, I have to stand on my back legs like this
and it's not comfortable at all!
So, I stayed away for a while to think about how I could enjoy the view better without having to remain in that position for so long. I looked all over the condo and found a solution! I saw a plastic drawer cart with 3 drawers sitting there, almost empty in the spare bedroom, just tall enough to be used as my new balcony observatory! I was so happy! I told Mama to push the cart, lift it and place it next to the rail so I could have a great view from the top of my new Observation Point! For extra comfort, I also asked Mama to place my comfy mattress on top of the drawers. I couldn't have asked for more! The only drawback was: I couldn't really climb to the top of it, so whenever I wanted go out, I had to ask Mama to carry me up there. Anyway, I thought this was a good temporary solution. If it rained, the plastic wouldn't get rusty and I could just remind Mama to remove my mattress. So, I enjoyed my OP last summer.
These pictures show some storage boxes being used as my OP instead of the drawer cart; I'd say we were just testing the idea. I don't think I have a picture on top of the cart itself though... I O U guys one! Anyway, I felt pretty good up there too!
Whassup?

Not too bad...

Eureka! It works!

A little break
Hi everybody, long time no see! Missed you all! Yesterday, I put another WW post in the blog and realized I haven't done much since my last WW. No drops,no commenting,no posting. I had to take a break last week because Grandma A, Grandpa W and Aunty V came all the way from Hermann,MO to Chicago by car( 7 hours) to visit with us, so I didn't have much time to use my computer. We were very busy sightseeing with them. I will write more about this visit in a future post. Stay tuned!

Okay, that's it. Now you know me better or not? :)
My first digiscraps
Will I ever catch up with my 3rd season? There is always something... but this is something GOOD! Especially because it's the weekend and why not have a break? That's what weekends are for, aren't they? So... I'm into digiscrapping now thanks to Ms. Yummy~licious(Jean Chia), who is also into this, and she posted some beautiful ones with pictures of her lovely niece Chloe, in her blog so, I got inspired and decided to do a couple of attempts. First I made a little one of myself in 3 different phases of my life : baby, hairy and when I borrowed my Dad's hat which looked more like a French beret on me :) I also put Coldplay's new song: Viva la Vida ( Spanish for Live Life) and the lyrics, not that the lyrics have to do with the digiscrap, just for fun!
The second one I made has four pages and they show pictures of Mom & Dad in 4 different American states : California ( LA,SF & SD), Nevada(Las Vegas and Grand Canyon), Missouri(St.Louis) and New York (NYC).
Have fun and have a wonderful weekend you guys!

We finally found a new home!
After 2 months of intensive house hunting we finally found a new home! It's a condo with a balcony in a Sushi friendly apartment building in a nice and safe neighborhood. The first day we moved in, a year ago (JUL 31st), there was no funiture; only the kitchen cabinets and appliances were already there. It was so empty that when Mama & Dad talked to each other I could hear the echo of their voices. There is a loooong corridor like a bowling alley which my parents did not fully appreciate but, I was happy because, what better place than a long corridor for racing and also playing fetch ?
The movers came the next day and they had a long day unpacking and checking if everything came over intact from St. Louis. Some small things got lost and/or damaged and they lost one carton that to this day, neither Mom nor Dad remembers what was in that carton...I bet it was some of my old toys! GRRR! I don't remember either!
I couldn't wait to check my must-have in the house: The Balcony! YAY!
View from the living room balcony, nothing special just some other buildings across from ours. We'll need some window treatments for sure! The neighbors could be snoopy...

Not a gooooorgeous view but, definetely very entertaining: I see cars, buses, two and four-legged people from here. We're on the 3rd floor so I can see everything very well!
